USER INSTRUCTIONS

ARMING AWAY - Your Code + AWAY (2) - Use this when you're leaving your home or business, and no one else is there. The entire security system is activated.

DISARMING - Your Code + OFF (1) - Turns off protection. It doesn't affect any fire protection you have, which is always on.

DISARMING AND SILENCING ALARMS - When an alarm has occurred disarm the system as usual Your Code + OFF (1)     The keypad displays the zone number for any zone that has an alarm condition.  These messages will remain until cleared by the user. To clear the display memory repeat the disarm sequence a second time Your Code + OFF (1)  The system will be back to normal.

ARMING STAY - Your Code + STAY (3) - Use this when you're home, but others in the family are not. It turns off inside motion detectors (so you can walk around), but your home is protected against an entry from the outside. Late arrivals have to disarm the system upon entering.

ARMING INSTANT - Your Code + Instant (7) - Use this when everyone is in for the night. Again, you can walk around inside, but opening any protected door or window will cause an immediate alarm.

Here's A Shortcut! - Using Quickarm, you can arm the system without entering your code. Just enter the pound (#) key and the arming function of your choice (Away, Stay, Instant).

CHECKING FOR OPEN ZONES - Before arming your system, all protected doors, windows and other protection zones must be closed or bypassed.  Otherwise the keypad will display a "Not Ready" message.  Using the Ready (*) key will display all zones that are faulted, making it easier for you to secure any open zones.

BYPASSING PROTECTION ZONES - Use this when you want to arm your system with one or more zones intentionally unprotected.  Bypassed zones are unprotected and will not cause an alarm when violated while your system is armed.  All bypassed zones are removed when an OFF sequence Your Code + OFF (1) is performed.  Enter your security code and press Bypass (6), enter zone number(s) for zones to be bypassed (e.g., 01,02,03,etc.).  When finished, the keypad will display the word BYPASS along with each bypassed zone number. Arm the system as usual when the keypad displays "ready" to arm message.

ENTRY/EXIT TIME - After you arm your system, you usually have around 30-60 seconds to leave the house before it's "All Secure". When you come back - you also have some time to turn off the system before the alarm sounds.

PANIC - The keys on the left of your keypad let you call for help in case of a police, fire or medical emergency. The key must be held down for 3 seconds for an emergency signal to be sent.

CHIME MODE - Your system can be set to alert you to the opening of a door or window while the system is disarmed by using the chime mode. Turn the chime mode on by entering Your code + CHIME (9), then to turn the chime mode off entering  Your code + CHIME (9) again.

FIRE ALARM - Your fire alarm (if installed) is on 24 hours a day, providing continuous protection. A pulsed sound will be produced if a fire detector is tripped.  Silence the alarm by entering Your Code + OFF (1) The keypad displays the zone number for any zone that has an alarm condition.  These messages will remain until cleared by the user. To clear the display memory repeat the disarm sequence a second time Your Code + OFF (1)  The system will be back to normal.
